Travel opportunities

See the impact of your donation
by visiting our programs in central America!

Wake up with the birds. Drink locally-grown and roasted coffee. Smell the flowers.

Then get your hands dirty!

There are many, customizable ways to see the impact of your donation. You can:

  • plan a private, guided trip

  • organize a trip for your business, community organization, church, or school.

On your trip, you'll work alongside local experienced SHI staff and farming families on hands-on projects with long-lasting impacts.

When you return home, you'll be able to say: "I helped build a wood-conserving stove that will improve the health of the family using it and the land around them." OR "I helped construct an irrigation system that will provide water for years to come." OR "I helped plant an organic garden that will provide high quality nutrition and income for years."

No special skill or experience is needed!

Curious about what you’ll see firsthand? Watch our short film about a long-time partnering community in Honduras, or take a virtual tour of our community in Chunox, Belize.

My church has worked with Sustainable Harvest International for several years, supporting them financially and sending groups to Central America. My own experience on a trip was so satisfying. I saw the dollars I had given being used to change people’s lives in positive ongoing ways. This is a lean and lovely organization—one that I am happy to support with my money and time.
